I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
